Happy 2011!!

Well its been awhile, that's mainly because there has been no skating over the festive period. That's all changed. We have had two Recreational Skates. They are being held every Thursday at Channel View Leisure Centre, £3 to skate and everyone is welcome regardless of team affiliations, derby experience or skate ability. Thursdays are for the Love of Skating, to give people who already skate somewhere to play and newbie/wannabe skaters a relaxed atmosphere to practice and ask questions in, we all know how intimidating we can look at regular training sessions.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Cherie James to our family. Am not sure if she has a Skate name yet or not. Either and Or, Welcome Cherie our newest CRoC.

Well busy few weeks ahead of me. First of all I am taking part in the Roller Derby Workout Challenge, an 8 week attempt at honing myself into a lean mean muscle machine.

Here's my Before shot, and am ashamed to say am actually trying to hold my gut in! Way too much food over Christmas.

Secondly we are going to get another group of girls through Min Skills, hopefully around the end of Feb, early March and quiet possibly before. I'll have to check with the rest of the staff and get back to you on dates.

There is also going to be our 2nd Inter-League bout, 'Temple Of Boom'.

Then there's the CRoC Launch Party, we will be officially announcing ourselves on 12th February at The Gower Pub in Cathays. I'll tell you more about that once everything has been finalised.

So all in all busy times ahead.

Stay Skating

Derby Love
